With the month of May comes our national observance of Mother's Day - a
day we have set aside to appropriately thank and recognize our mothers for
their tireless acts of love for us on a daily basis. Accordingly, it is also a
time for us to think of the families which the Lord God has blessed us and
to be thankful for them as well.
The family is the basic societal unit as designed by God Himself. He
created the first couple, Adam and Eve, and then blessed them and told
them to be fruitful and multiply. Part of that blessing came in the personage
of their children. They were God's gift to them for them to raise in a Godly
environment, manifesting and showing them God's love on a daily basis in
everyday acts, occurrences and situations.
The family is still the basic societal unit as designed by God even though it
is coming under increasing attack today within our society. We need to
uphold it and maintain it as God intended it to be, not only for our own
personal well-being but for that of our society as a whole. In many of our
homes, it is the mother who holds it all together and establishes and lays
the groundwork for the stability of the home - again for which we must be
thankful.
The "community of believers of Grace" is of such a size that we are similar
to a family. Everyone is known by name and care and concern for one
another is felt by all. If you are looking for this kind of a family which to
worship the Lord God, serve Him and grow in your relationship with Him,
then we invite you to become a part of our family. Check our monthly
newsletter, our worship video, our weekly updates and other tabs on this
website for more information. Please be aware - and make known to any
Deaf that you may know, that our weekly 10:30 worship service on Sunday
mornings is interpreted for the Deaf.
